CANCELLATIONS
Canceling or delaying an appointment can impact our work and possibly inconvenience other clients. To maintain respect for all clients across different time zones, I require at least 48 hours' notice for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. If you are unable to attend your session, please contact me or my office so that another client can fill your slot. Appointments not kept, rescheduled, or canceled within the 48-hour notice period for any reason will be forfeited and charged at the full rate.
WAIVER OF THE NO-SHOW/LATE CANCELLATION FEE
The only exception to this cancellation policy is severe or contagious illnesses or medical emergencies (car accidents, immediate family deaths, or extreme illnesses). For these instances, I provide a grace period every six months.
Work-related issues, including unexpected late hours, non-emergency illnesses, childcare conflicts, travel delays, and job demands, are no exceptions to this policy.
MISSED APPOINTMENTS & NO-SHOW TIME FRAMES
I adhere to the following policy for online therapy sessions when clients are unexpectedly absent: I will wait 15 minutes past our scheduled session time for you to log in or phone in. If I have not heard from you by 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, or you have not logged into the online therapy platform, your absence will be considered a no-show, and your appointment will be forfeited and charged at the full rate.
Also, if you have excessive absences in your assigned appointment slot, I can offer that slot to another client.
HOW THE 48-HOUR NOTICE WORKS
If an appointment is set for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, notice must be given by 3:00 p.m. on the preceding Monday. Your notice for Monday appointments must be received by 3.00 p.m. on the preceding Thursday. You can email, message, call, or leave a voicemail to reschedule an appointment since each will be time-dated.
REFUNDS
All payments are nonrefundable. However, suppose you have paid for a session and not used it (except in cases of cancellations without notice). In that case, you can apply the payment toward future sessions within six weeks of the original payment date. Any balance remaining after this period will be forfeited.
