Why I specialize in LGBTQ support.

As a gay man and same-sex relationship advocate, the LGBTQ+ community is central to my work.

Using my knowledge of our community's unique needs, I specialize in working exclusively with the queer community, with a particular interest in cisgender gay men, lesbians, and bi individuals.

However, I maintain an inclusive practice and can help anyone in the LGBTQ community, regardless of their identity or background.

Whatever your sexual orientation or gender identity, please get in touch if you need support. I'm here to help you live an authentic, fulfilling life. And if I think another professional would better fit you, I'll talk to you about it and suggest a referral.

FAQs about online counseling.

  • Indeed, it is.

The concept might seem challenging to grasp initially, but the experience is genuinely enriching.

Over the past few years, I have conducted numerous individual and couples therapy sessions online. Despite the physical distance, these sessions consistently feel intimately personal, leading to a greater sense of connection among the individuals I have worked with.

The surest way to discern its efficacy for you is to embark on this journey yourself and try it.

  • I use encrypted technology for online therapy, ensuring the highest level of internet security. All data is sent in a complex code, making it unreadable if intercepted. Access to our "session room" requires your unique password and client ID.

  • Online therapy is generally suitable for all individuals. However, if you're experiencing any of the following, online counseling may not be the best option:

    • Significant mood swings causing feelings of instability and fragility.

    • Active suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, or a strong desire to harm yourself or someone else.

    • A severe mental illness that isn't well-managed by a trained health professional.

    • Significant trauma that is easily triggered and results in acute states of shock and panic.

If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, please consult a physician and seek the help of trained medical professionals.

  • Therapy schedules are tailored to your individual needs. Typically, once-a-week sessions work best, but more frequent sessions may be necessary in times of distress or deep trauma.
